LADWP has released its finalized pumping plan.

Unfortunately, LA's proposed pumping numbers remain unchanged from their draft plan. This decision from LA comes despite significant public advocacy for LA to pump less water, in alignment with Inyo County's proposed plan. Inyo County's plan would have reduced pumping and provided much-needed relief to areas where vegetation has been most stressed by groundwater pumping.

The next opportunity for the public to speak to LA about this plan comes on May 27th at the Standing Committee Meeting. At this meeting, leaders from LADWP will meet with Inyo County Officials. The meeting will take place at 11am at 224 N. Edwards St. in Independence. A zoom link is available here.
