LADWP's draft Annual Operations Plan came out on Monday, launching this annual process. The first two meetings (tomorrow 4/23 and Tuesday 4/28) focus on Inyo County's comments in response to the Plan. Then, the 5/7 Technical Group meeting will be our only chance to urge LADWP technical staff to accept Inyo County's comments. Finally, the 5/27 Standing Committee meeting will give an opportunity for the public to speak directly to power-holders.
We'll be holding a community prep workshop before each meeting. In these workshops, we'll give summaries of what's happened so far, share information about the upcoming meeting, and discuss how to give public comment. We'll also talk about how to interpret some of the graphs/tables that we'll see from the Water Department and LADWP.
Please join as many meetings as you can — every voice matters. Reach out to lauren@friendsoftheinyo.org with questions!
