NEPA 101

Join Friends of the Inyo, the Owens Valley Indian Water Commission, Great Basin Water Network, and the Center for Biological Diversity for a workshop on the National Environmental Policy Act: what it is, how it affects public lands, and how community members can be heard and engage in planning and development that takes place on federal land. This workshop will work through the NEPA process, how to read NEPA documents, and how to write and submit comments for the public scoping process.

The public will be offered the opportunity to comment on each agenda item prior to any action on the item by the Technical Group. The public will also be offered the opportunity to address the Technical Group on any matter within the Technical Group’s jurisdiction during the public comment period.

The Technical Group will conduct this meeting both in person at LADWP’s Administrative Office and via WebEx videoconference:

Written public comment, limited to 250 words or less, may be emailed to: Julianne.Burg@ladwp.com.

Your emailed comments may or may not be read aloud, but all comments will be made a part of the record. Please make sure to submit a separate email for each item that you wish to comment upon.
