Inyo-LA Standing Committee Meeting

Why: This is one of only two times per year that this committee meets, despite the fact that it oversees LADWP’s water extraction from Inyo County. Two LADWP Commissioners, an LA City Councilmember, two Inyo County Supervisors, and others sit on this committee. Let’s tell these power-holders that we want to see less water extraction!
Flows and Films: A Film Screening and Discussion on Water and Community
We are excited to invite you to Nature for All’s Flows and Films Festival! This event will feature special screenings of Manzanar Diverted: When Water Becomes Dust and The Aqueduct Between Us, followed by a discussion panel with directors Ann Kaneko and AnMarie Mendoza.
Join us to explore ongoing water issues, reflect on our connection to water, and engage in meaningful conversations with our community about how we can care for and protect both water and each other. Food will be provided.
We will also showcase artwork created during the 2026 Voices of All Our Relations LA Water Summit, and offer a collective wellness art activity for participants.

Update Session on Annual Operations Plan

Why: By this date, LADWP will have finalized its Annual Operations Plan for the year. This is the result of a public process that the community has engaged with deeply. Learn about how those meetings went, what we think of the final Plan, and how it may shape our organizing goals going forward.

Inyo County Board of Supervisors Meeting
At this meeting, the Inyo County Board of Supervisors will provide final direction to guide Inyo County’s comments about the Annual Operations Plan released by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) for the upcoming water year.
Please join to provide public comment: this is the final opportunity to communicate to Inyo County that we would like them to advocate for reduced pumping in the next year!
